Dallas Farmer’s Market
Shopping in Dallas doesn’t just mean the suburbs; the Dallas Farmer’s Market is located right in the heart of downtown and has been offering fresh locally produced produce since 1941. The sprawling facility features an open-air pavilion, as well as an indoor market hall, with stalls selling everything from French pastries to barbecue, and Mediterranean cuisine to Vietnamese food. The city’s answer to LA’s Rodeo Drive, this neighborhood is located about 5 miles north of the central area and was one of the country’s first planned shopping centers. For many visitors, shopping in Dallas is all about mega shopping malls and trendy designer boutiques. However, like any big city, there are some more offbeat and cheaper places to visit. Deep Ellum is known for its trendy eating places, but it’s also the home of several art galleries and a great area to shop for used records, home furnishings and accessories, and vintage clothing and consignments. Greenville Avenue is another street to stroll down if you are looking for used books, one-of-a-kind fashions, and well-known names such as Gap and Ann Taylor. There are plenty of bars and restaurants along the lower part of Greenville Avenue, as well as several nightlife venues, and another trendy shopping are, M Streets, is within easy reach.

This 50-year-old western clothing store located conveniently downtown is a ‘must see’ attraction for any visitor to Dallas.
